Project: Score the iPhone

Verizon partnered with Apple to offer six months of free Apple Music to new customers. To promote the partnership, we created a mobile game where players find and mix musical loops in augmented reality. Score the iPhone let players see the loops—from over 40 genres—as 3D animated objects. Players could capture and combine them to create tracks—no musical knowledge needed. A new iPhone XS on Verizon was awarded to contestants who submitted the best mixes. The game was the brand’s most successful digital activation ever, with over 1,000,000 players. Over 70,000 pre-ordered the phone as a result.
