To create buzz around the new iPhone 8 on Verizon, we combined GPS, real-time data and AR to create a first-of-its-kind Snapchat treasure hunt. Snapchat lenses are typically visible to everyone, so we digitally hid our lenses in 8 cities that could only be unlocked if players were in the right place at the right time. Once there, the lens revealed itself for players to snap and submit for a chance to win a new iPhone 8. The campaign was a great success with 3x sales in active markets and over 360,000 players spending an average of 31 minutes finding the 8.
