Project: Samsung x Fortnite: The Galaxy Skin

Fortnite has taken the world by storm. Players spend big bucks on outfits and characters, called “skins.” Partnering with Fortnite, we created the Galaxy Skin, available only on the new Galaxy Note9. To build hype, we had the world’s biggest gamer, Ninja, play with the skin in front of millions on Twitch. Note9 pre-orders increased by 243% among 18- to 24-year-olds. Gamers started hacking Note9 phones in stores to “steal” the skin. They posted how-to-hack videos and traded tips. Samsung became the most talked-about brand in gaming—with impressions increasing by 2000%—and the Galaxy Note9 became the phone for Fortnite.
