Project: Last Generation of Firsts

In celebration of the Barbie brand’s 60th anniversary, Barbie wanted to spark conversation about the next generation of girls and the remaining glass ceilings. We created an experience with hundreds of empty Barbie boxes, each representing a first women have yet to achieve. Girls stepped into a life-sized digital box that transformed to display their name and the glass ceilings they most wanted to shatter. By removing the doll from its packaging and letting girls see themselves in its place, we delivered a powerful message about the future Barbie sees for girls and her role in inspiring it.
