To launch Ally Bank’s sponsorship of NASCAR, we introduced our new car design by secretly hiding it in our driver’s Instagram posts before officially unveiling it. No one noticed until it was discovered by a sports news outlet. Once revealed, fans went crazy, going back post by post to search for the car on our driver’s Instagram. We gave them something extra by linking each post to hi-res shots of the car. While others spent millions on extravagant unveilings, we proved you could get just as much buzz for far less. Three Instagram posts, to be exact.
