“We Are America” is an integrated campaign designed to promote diversity and inclusion
within a divisive cultural climate marked by
incidents of racial and anti-LGBT violence.
In a film launched on Independence Day, beloved professional wrestler John Cena breaks down
the notion of American patriotism, redefines the “average American,” and concludes that to love America is to love all Americans.
The film was viewed and shared 80 million
times by the public, media, and celebrities from
all backgrounds. An accompanying billboard and print campaign promoted unity by reminding all Americans that they are welcome and valued.
